Nabil Abed has spent the last twenty-five years of his life creating art.
He attened the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. In 1980 he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. Upon graduation he returned to the Middle East, where he was born.
At first Nabil concentrated on painting. He experimented over the years with different media on a variety of supports and achieving different effects.
He found that mixing water-based paints with oil-based paints on smooth, non-absorbent surfaces (like glass, Formica..) achieved surprising and pleasing results. Please look at the "Paintings" section.
Nabil’s paintings have been exhibited regularly. Many are held in private collections in the Lebanon, Australia, Nigeria and the United States.
After extensive work with paint on glass, it was a natural continuation of Nabil’s creative expression to begin working with leaded glass. In 1983 opened his stained glass studio in Lebanon. Nabil’s stained glass works hang in public, commercial and private collections throughout the Lebanon and the United States.
In 1999 Nabil returned to the United States, where he continues to work with glass.
